Dear Subscribers,
I hope you've had a productive week. I'm pleased to share part 8 of the alla prima Dark Red Roses series with you.
On another note, I'm currently in the process of moving house and studio. As a result, there may be a pause in this newsletter for approximately a month while I set up the new studio. Rest assured, paying subscribers will receive additional free months to make up for any lack of new content during this time.
Exciting news: I've been invited to participate in PleinAir Live 2025. While it's still some time away, this opportunity aligns perfectly with my desire to delve into more plein air work. I see it as a positive sign to venture out of the studio regularly.
Above is 'Yew Tree at Kingsbury,' oil on canvas, measuring 14x11 inches, completed back in October within about 3 hours. On the left side, you can glimpse a section of a 13th-century church.
Below, you'll find progress images showcasing my fairly typical approach to all my work, whether indoors or outdoors.
